INGLEWOOD is very pleased to be gigging after a 2 year hiatus due to COVID. We've all missed performing! Our first appearance as a 6 piece will be at the Langley RibFest which is held at McCleod Park on 216th Street in Langley on August 13th. The band will do a 45 minute set of our favourite country and classic rock songs. Incidentally, the ribs are delicious - you won't want to miss 'em!
The Shannon Lee Quartet (Shannon, Colin, Bill and Don) had a fabulous time playing on the River Stage at the Fort Langley Jazz Festival July 24th. This festival is turning into a great destination week of entertainment. Kudos to artistic director Dave Quinn and the festival organizers for such an accomplishment. Of course, with a 2 year hiatus from performing, there was lots of time to hone our craft and Shannon has been working on the sax. The quartet had fun playing some new material such as Winelight (Grover Washington), Together Again (Dave Koz) and a number of smooth jazz tunes.
Finally, Shannon and the boys are also known as "Porter's Special Blend" when they provide the back up music for anyone who wants a smoking hot rhythm section at Mic'd up Murrayville. (MUM). This weekly open mic resumes after shutting down in 2020 due to you-know-what. Catch the best damn jam in the Lower Mainland every Thursday night from 6:30 starting September 8th, 2022. Come on down and jam with us. Sometimes we even get to hear Siobhan trying out some new material or Raina on the drums! It's an awesome time and we know everyone has missed MUM!
